Morning fog in Milan, New Hampshire.

My full travel schedule is making it hard for me to write much these days, but I thought I'd at least share some photos from the last week.  Fall color in peaking north of US 2 in northern New England and it is shaping up to be a banner year for foliage.

Fall color along the Magalloway River in Wilsons Mills, Maine.

Dawn light paints the Presidential Range in New Hampshire's White Mountains.

A bird's eye view of the Balsams in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.

Coos Canyon in Bryon, Maine.

Until next time...

Tell me about it!  I always forget how big Maine is until I start poking around the north country.  I'm having fun though, working on our fall foliage guidebook.  It's like a treasure hunt.  This summer I identified the "hot spots" I need pictures of, so now I'm just cruising around and shooting those spots where the foliage is best.  Of course, it has been cloudy most of the week, which is slowing me down a bit, but the colors are excellent up here right now.
